James Arnold, President of Lubbock's American Bank of Commerce, joined the Chad Hasty Show on Friday to talk about the state economy, the housing industry, and Texas Tech Basketball's impact on Lubbock's economy.

When asked about whether or not he believes the country's economy will slow down after the 2020 election, Arnold had this to say:

Not necessarily. We've all seen economies stop and start, it's a lot of momentum shifts, but we've seen economies barrel along and all of a sudden something happens and it shuts it down. By and large it's a momentum game; it's like stopping a train, but sometimes that train gets knocked off the tracks and stops immediately. A lot of things can happen. I think we just kind of live in the moment. We plan for the future.
