There's been many times in Amarillo where we've seen signs go up with a business or restaurant advertising they're "coming soon" to a certain location.

Then that sign just sits there, no action, no building, it just remains there. One of two things will happen eventually. Either construction will FINALLY begin, or the sign will randomly disappear and dash our dreams.

In the town of Marble Falls, TX., located in the Hill Country, a sign popped up out of nowhere in an open field that had the entire community buzzing. The excitement was palpable, and it's all anyone could seem to talk about.

On June 24th, a sign appeared stating that Marble Falls was to become a recipient of a Raising Cane's. If you've ever been to Marble Falls, you'd know this is a big deal. It's not a big place by any stretch, and something like that would be PACKED there.

However, the excitement was short-lived when a local newspaper decided to call Cane's for comment and gather more info. Well, info they got. The info they received was that they had no plans to build anything in Marble Falls and they aren't sure where the sign came from.

July 5th would be the day the sign would mysteriously disappear, and the community would find out what exactly was going on.

It was the brainchild of a couple high school teenagers who decided to prank the entire city since they were homeschooled and didn't have the chance to participate in a senior prank. They wanted that feeling, so this is what they went for.

Once it was unveiled as a prank, the community got a good laugh out of it, with many applauding the teens for executing such a perfect prank. Many said the fact that no one was hurt and that it was such a buzzworthy event gave them a good laugh.

A few however said there was harm done...in the sense that they were extremely bummed now that they weren't getting a Raising Cane's. Gotta love a good senior prank that gets the entire community wrapped up in it.
