Lubbock's award-winning festival is back for another year and you don't want to miss it.

The Lubbock Arts Festival includes artists from all around the nation showing and selling their artwork. You can also expect performance stages with musicians, actors, and dancers; demonstrating artists; children’s art area; special exhibits and entertainment.

The Lubbock Arts Festival is the main project of the Lubbock Arts Alliance. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the creation, understanding, and enjoyment of the arts.

According to their website, these are some of the main highlights for this year that you don't want to miss out on:

  • Carol Flueckiger, Featured Artist. Her mixed-media bicycle paintings evoke the sensory experience of west Texas weather such as the sound and motion of wind, fading sunlight and shifting temperatures. Her signature technique builds on cyanotype, a light-sensitive process that she blends with painting and drawing. She is a Professor of Art at Texas Tech University. Presented by The CH Foundation.
  • 100 visual artists from around the nation showing and selling their artwork in the mediums of painting, jewelry, pottery, mixed-media, photography, fiber, leather, and wood
