Lubbock Restaurant Temporarily Closed Due To A Fire
A Lubbock restaurant caught fire Tuesday morning and will temporarily have to be closed due to a fire.
Lubbock Fire Rescue is currently on the scene of a structure fire at the Gas Light Restaurant. The call came in at 6:40 a.m.
Crews arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the business. We do not know the severity of the fire because this is still an active scene but Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the cause of the fire. Avoid the area if possible.
The Gas Light is known to be an upscale lounge featuring specialty drinks and martinis and serving entrees, appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches. They have signature items including Gas Light nachos, bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp, and so much more. Along with awesome daily specials.
They welcome small receptions in our private room and offer an outdoor deck that overlooks a playa lake. All their music begins at 10 p.m.
They have posted to Facebook saying that everyone is okay but not much more detail than that.
We will keep you updated when we find out more details about the fire and how long they will be closed for.
Please send them love and be ready to support them when they open back up. I hope it won't be too long. They have great drinks and food. Plus an amazing view when the weather is nice.
You can find out more about them on their website. The Gas Light is located at 5212 57th Street Suite 100, Lubbock, TX.
