The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is Coming to Lubbock This Summer
Fans of country rock better get ready because the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is coming to Lubbock, Texas this summer.
Formed in 1966, three-time Grammy winners, and Grammy Hall of Famers, they have been loved by many through the years. They are known for songs like ‘Fishin’ in the Dark’, their cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s ‘Mr. Bojangles’, ‘Stand a Little Rain’, ‘Modern Day Romance’, and more.
They are going on their All the Good Times: The Farewell Tour this summer, and the Buddy Holly Hall is one of their stops. The tour kicks off on March 21st, 2024 and doesn’t mark the end of the band as a whole, simply the end of them these types of long, multi-city tours.
The band made a statement about the tour:
“‘All The Good Times’ perfectly describes our career,” said the band. “Playing our music for Dirt Band fans all over the world has been an incredible experience for us. The most important part of that has been the connection to our audience—that beautiful communal give and take is like nothing else. That's the very spirit we'll be celebrating as we head into our farewell tour. We really look forward to seeing you folks. Good times will be had by all!”
The Buddy Holly Hall show is on July 25, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. and tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 19th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased at buddyhollyhall.com, by calling ETIX at (800) 514-3849, and in person at the venue box office at 1300 Mac Davis Ln.
