Speculation Surrounding KPot Restaurant Opening In Lubbock

A while back there was talk that Lubbock's first ever KPot would be coming to Lubbock and would taking up residence in the old Furr's location on 50th Street. There has been no update recently and many Lubbock residents were quite concerned so they took to Facebook to ask the big question. Is KPot still coming to Lubbock?

Talk of the Town

It seems that was lots of talk in the comments of the post made on the LBK Foodies Facebook page. Some people state that KPot had backed out of the deal and was not coming to Lubbock or that the construction on the old Furr's building was just too much for the company. We all really miss Furr's! So with that we decided to check the KPot website and it still stated Lubbock was going to be home of one of their locations but it could have been just left over from the initial announcement so we went straight to the source.

The Answer Is...

We reached out to KPot and after a day they responded to us with some very great and bad news. The good news is that they still plan on coming to Lubbock but that bad news is they have had to push back the date they will open. So as of right now there is no for sure date on when they will open but they will open in Lubbock and will reach out to let us know. I know I can't wait experience KPot here in the Hub City.
