A Texas man completely blew away the world of competitive eating.

Challenge the Texas Sausage Eating Record!

Texans love sausage. Myself, I love a nice coarse ground sausage prepared over a smoky barbeque grill. It almost makes me embarrassed to visit a barbeque restaurant where the owner has watched a brisket in a hot pit for 12 hours and I order a sausage which really doesn't require much effort (at least outside of the preparation). I usually end up with a sausage and a little of that brisket for later, just out of sympathy. Still, I could eat maybe two sausage links at best before I push away from a table.

Texas Sausage Eating Champion Ate 51

I began a search for the "Biggest Sausage In Texas" and instead took a turn into world-recordville!.  It turns out that last year at Manorpalooza 2024 in Manor, Texas a man ate 51 sausages. I'm not seeing any specs on these sausages, but I'd assume they are of the "fat hot-dog" size at the very least. It was a heck of an achievement for sure. Let me also stress that not only did a man by the name of James Webb eat 51 sausages, he did it in just ten minutes.

The Texas Eating Championship Awaits This Weekend!

As luck would have it, Manorpalooza '25 is this weekend. That's right, this Friday and Saturday the city of Manor in eastern Travis County will host another event. It appears that the Manor Police Department either runs the event or is one of it's sponsors. The two-day event has a lineup featuring country and a little Tejano music. Of course, what your really care about, the sausage eating championship is scheduled for 4:00 Saturday. Sadly, registration for the contest has closed, but it should definitely be spectator worthy as people from all over descend on Manor to try to beat James Webb's record of 51 sausages.

Most Remaining Fuddruckers Are In Texas, Here's Where To Find Them

Fuddruckers began in San Antonio in 1979. At its height in the late 90s, there were 150 Fuddruckers locations. Now only 54 remain, with 6 of those in the dubious state of "temporarily" closed.
