Houston Man Gets 99 Years for Cellphone-Recorded Sex Assault
HOUSTON (AP) — Prosecutors say a Houston man must serve 99 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in an 2015 parking lot attack he recorded with his cellphone.
A Harris County jury on Wednesday convicted 30-year-old Darias Lacour of aggravated sexual assault. A judge then sentenced Lacour to 99 years in prison.
Investigators say a Houston police officer in June 2015 saved the woman after walking up to a car parked in an abandoned lot.
Prosecutors used the cellphone video in the case against Lacour. The victim also testified against him.
