Charlie Kirk Memorial Parkway in Texas

According to WFAA, Commissioners in Hood County issued a proclamation on Tuesday that will dedicate Williamson Road, located south of Granbury, as "Charlie Kirk Memorial Parkway". The proclamation called Kirk a "steadfast voice for moral clarity and truth in public discourse” and that he leaves “behind a legacy of bold leadership, passionate advocacy, and unwavering commitment to the ideals that define the American spirit," according to the report from WFAA.

In the aftermath of Kirk's assassination, lawmakers in Texas and elsewhere advocated the idea of memorializing Kirk in different ways.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the Democrat chair of the Hood County Democrats called the move a publicity stunt.
