Lubbock City Councilman Jeff Griffith joined The Chad Hasty Show on Monday to discuss the new Stay-At-Home order handed down by Mayor Dan Pope on Sunday.

Lubbock citizens can still go to Lubbock parks, the grocery store, big box stores, retailers who offer curbside pickup, and restaurants that offer to-go. Even golf courses are still open in Lubbock. So, what has changed?

According to Griffith, the order stresses the need for citizens to stay home and refrain from gathering even in small groups. House parties can't happen under this order and kids can't play together under this order.

Grocery and big box stores are also upping their enforcement of social distancing. According to Griffith, Lubbock Police will not pull anyone over for just driving around Lubbock.
