The future of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' has been literally and figuratively all over the map as we approach season 4 premiere on April 6. Some reports say the George R.R. Martin-adapted series will run for seven seasons, while Martin himself poses 10 with an added movie. Now, we at least have some confirmation 'Game of Thrones' will run at least six seasons, while the latest season 4 trailers have us more and more excited to return to Westeros.

Via Entertainment Weekly, HBO officially negotiated to keep current showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss on board 'Game of Thrones' through season 6 in 2016, even as the network has yet to formally confirm a fifth season for next year. If indeed Benioff and Weiss' words about ending the HBO drama after seven seasons prove true, we hardly expect the pair to jump ship after season 6, either.

Meanwhile, two new promos for the fourth season of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' emerged, bringing a few new scraps of footage, including our first look at Ciaran Hinds' return as Wildling leader Mance Rayder. We also saw Cersei looking mighty anguished at King Joffrey's wedding (wonder why!), and Bran appears to have found a face in a tree up North, so that's something, right?

In the meantime, there’s always more clips, photos, trailers and teases for the April 6 premiere, while HBO has cast in known roles Joel Fry as Hizdahr zo LoraqRoger Ashton-Griffiths as Mace TyrellPedro Pascal as Prince Oberyn Martell, Indira Varma as Oberyn’s lover Ellaria Sand, Yuri Kolokolnikov as Styr, Magnar of Thenn, and ‘Sherlock’ star Mark Gatiss as Tycho Nestoris. ‘Treme”s Michiel Huisman will replace Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis, and Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will take over the role of Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Ian Whyte, among other recastings.

You can check out the two latest trailers above and below, and tell us what you think of 'Game of Thrones' HBO future in the comments! Should the series only last 6 or 7 seasons, or maybe wrap up with a movie as George R.R. Martin has suggested?
