With all the snow and ice that fell across Texas, many went outside to experience the winter storm and participate in some winter fun. Videos on social media show people of all ages having some fun snowboarding, ice skating, and more. And in most cases, the winter fun, was just that, fun. But sadly, there have been reports of accidents involving kids, and at least one that turned deadly.

Teenage Texas Girl Dies In Sledding Accident

According to WFAA in Dallas, a 16-year-old was killed and another was critically injured after a sledding accident. According to the report, a 16-year-old boy was driving a Jeep that was pulling the two teenage girls who were on a sled. Witnesses told Frisco police that the sled hit a curb then collided with a tree on Saturday afternoon.

Upon arrival, officials say police and firefighters found the two victims and began working to save their lives. They were then taken to local hospitals, where one of them later died from her injuries.

WFAA reports that police are still investigating the accident.
