For lovers of fried chicken, fried steak fingers, quail legs, and cod, Free Range Fry House in Lubbock was a great place to go for a tasty meal, but the concept didn't last long and this week, the small business decided to close for good.
Free Range Fry House is owned by the same people who own The Co-Op Public House and it's very possible that some of the more popular meals from Free Range will make its way over to The Co-Op. Free Range Fry House opened in January of this year at 6810 Milwaukee Ave.
If you've been up and down that portion of Milwaukee Ave. you know it's booming and there are many restaurants lining Milwaukee. That means it's highly competitive.
While Free Range Fry House focused on fried chicken and steak fingers. They also had salads, burgers, and tacos. They even recently unveiled a steak item as they looked to expand their menu.

Owners of Free Range Fry House took to Facebook to announce the closing of the restaurant.
Free Range Fry House is one of many local small businesses that have closed in 2024. There are also many small businesses opening in Lubbock. Competition for every dollar is high.
