Football Coach Mike Leach in Lubbock for Book Signing Event

Former Texas Tech Football Head Coach, Mike Leach, is in Lubbock on Monday for a book signing.

Coach Leach will be signing copies of Swing Your Sword, a book published in 2011 about his coaching life. He’ll also be signing copies of Geronimo: Leadership Strategies of an American Warrior, a book he published in 2014 about the life of Apache war leader Geronimo.

The book signing will start at 6:00 p.m. the Barnes & Noble bookstore, located at 6002 Slide Road.

Coach Leach was fired as the head coach for Texas Tech football under controversial circumstances in 2009. He has since had an estranged and debilitating relationship with Texas Tech University. Leach is currently the head coach for the Washington State Cougars.

Coach Leach has recently made headlines for tweeting a doctored video of a 2014 speech given by former President Barack Obama. He's been criticized by some for posting "fake news" and not apologizing for it.
