First Baptist Church of Lubbock, Full Armor Church, Community Heights and the Texas Tech Red Raider Football team will host a community-wide Thanksgiving dinner on November 20 at 5p at First Baptist Church.

The event is called "Hope for Lubbock" and First Baptist has a goal of feeding over 800 people who are without shelter or are "economically disadvantaged".

At 6 o'clock, after the meals are served, a special worship service will be held in the sanctuary of First Baptist.

First Baptist, and the other organizations involved, are asking for the community's help in the following ways:

  • Sponsor a Thanksgiving basket for 25 dollars
  • Help assemble and distribute baskets and care packages
  • Greet and guide our guests
  • Go get families who do not have transportation
  • Serve food
  • Sit and eat with our guests
  • Sing in the choir
  • PRAY
