Federal Funds Requested for Erskine Street Work in Lubbock

A Lubbock group is waiting to hear if The City of Lubbock will receive federal funds for work on Erskine Street.

The Lubbock Metropolitan Planning Organization submitted a funding request to the Texas Department of Transportation for $750,000.

The money would go to environmental work and the design of Erskine Street between the Texas Tech Parkway and Indiana Avenue.

The design would be a five lane thoroughfare, in accordance with the City’s master thoroughfare plan.
