Easy As Pie Fundraiser Kicks Off On Friday

Lubbock Meals on Wheels will hold their 28th annual "Feed a Friend - It's Easy as Pie" fundraiser Friday, November 15th through November 24th at United Supermarkets.

During the Easy as Pie fundraiser, a $5 donation will get you a coupon for a Mrs. Smith's pie. If you don't want or need a pie, you can donate the coupon back to Meals on Wheels and they use it to deliver dessert to those residents who are part of the Meals on Wheels program this Thanksgiving.

To donate, go to any United Supermarkets location and donate while checking out through a cashier or even in the self check-out lanes. You can also go to the customer service desk at United Supermarkets and donate. For each $5 dollar donation, you get a Mrs. Smith's pie. So for a $20 donation, you will receive 4 coupons.

In the past 25 years, Lubbock Meals on Wheels has raised over $1 million dollars during Easy as Pie and their goal this year is to raise $75,000.
