Dr. Kenneth Border Resigns as Superintendent of Shallowater ISD
Shallowater ISD Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Border has resigned from his position. Dr. Border has served as Superintendent of Shallowater ISD since January of 2015, after first being hired as a Principal in 2006.
During his time at Shallowater ISD, Dr. Border secured the district as the only A rated school district in Lubbock County from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Border was also named ESC 17 Superintendent of the Year in 2018.
David Foote has been selected to serve as interim Superintendent until a new one can be selected by the Board of Trustees. Foote has over 39 years of experience in education and has served as a superintendent for Smyer ISD, Whiteface ISD, and Dalhart ISD.
The board says they plan to have a new Superintendent selected by the start of the new school year and thank Dr. Border for his 15 years of service at Shallowater ISD.
