An Albequerque man charged with robbing a Wells Fargo Bank in Lubbock plead guilty shortly before his trial Monday morning. 35 year old Graciano Pina Quezada plead guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Sam Cummings to one count of bank robbery and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

At about 2:20 p.m. on February 21, 2011, Quezada entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 4323 50th street with a 9mm Ruger pistol and proceeded to shout and point the firearm at the building's occupants. He then held the tellers at gunpoint and demanded money. He then ordered a customer to accompany him to the bank doors, and fled.

A sentencing date will be set after the completion of a presentence investigation report ordered by the judge. He faces a maximum sentence of Life in prison and a half-million dollar fine, however under the terms of the plea agreement, the parties have agreed that Quezada will face an advisory guideline sentence of 39 to 42.5 years imprisonment.
