
Museum at Texas Tech To Host El Día de los Muertos Event in Lubbock
If you are looking a come and go family friendly event, the Museum at Texas Tech is bringing back it's annual El Día de los Muertos event on Sunday. The event is a celebration of culture and family.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday that honors loved ones who have passed away. The Museum at Texas Tech is celebrating by putting on a family friendly event that is come and go on Sunday, October 19.
According to a press release from the Museum, there will be hands-on crafts, Loteria, and more to experience.
This family-friendly event includes hands-on crafts, Loteria (a traditional Mexican game) and live performances from the Lubbock High School Folklórico dancers and the Texas Tech and Corondo High School mariachi ensembles. There will be refreshments, pan de polvo (Mexican shortbread cookies) and a nacho bar with queso. The planetarium will offer free shows every 30 minutes starting at 2 p.m. Guests are invited to honor their loved ones by bringing copies – not originals – of photos to include in the community ofrenda.
This event is free and open to the public. The event runs from 2-4pm on Sunday, October 19.
