In Dallas, two police officers were critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

The incident began around 4:15 p.m. when two officers were called to a Home Depot in northern Dallas to assist an off-duty officer with removing a man from the store.

In the process, both officers and a Home Depot employee working as a loss prevention officer were shot by the 29-year-old suspect, Armando Luis Juarez. He then fled the scene in a white pickup, sparking a city-wide manhunt by Dallas law enforcement.

Just before 10 p.m., Juarez was spotted by police in southeast Dallas and pursued through northwest Dallas where he was finally arrested, along with a female passenger. Juarez now faces charges of aggravated assault of a police officer and outstanding felony theft warrants.

The details of how exactly both police officers and the Home Depot security guard were shot are unclear at this time. As of 10:40 p.m. Tuesday night, it was reported that both officers and the injured civilian were out of surgery at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
