Dairy Queen and Texas go hand in hand. You've probably known the DQ jingle since you were a kid, and anytime you go through a small town in Texas, if they have no other place to eat, you are pretty sure they will have a Dairy Queen.

But that doesn't mean all Dairy Queen locations stay open forever, and for many, when a Dairy Queen closes, it's the end of an era in that town.

Dairy Queen announced this week that 24 locations in Texas have closed. According to a list of stores provided to Dallas Culture Map, the majority of stores that have closed are located in small towns in West and East Texas. Two locations in Dallas-Fort Worth are closing.

We will provide the full list of Dairy Queen closures below.

While the stores have closed, you could still own a piece of Dairy Queen, or many pieces as the contents of those stores are being put up for auction.

The online auction site, localauctions.com is where you can bid on the "complete contents" of the 24 Dairy Queen stores that have closed. Each store is listed individually and the auctions close on Thursday, February 20.

Multiple Dairy Queen locations are closing their doors and must liquidate the assets. Bid on a large variety of restaurant assets and related items that need to be removed from the location. Buyers are responsible for disassembling and removing purchased assets and must bring their own help and tools.
