Astros Hall of Famer Craig Biggio Lists South Texas Ranch for $12 Million
Former Houston Astro Craig Biggio's San Antonio hunting ranch is now for sale for a cool $12,194,500. The property is located in Uvalde County, just west of San Antonio.
The realty site states that this massive property spans a whopping 1,682 acres. Biggio was an avid hunter, and the ranch itself has produced numerous white-tailed deer trophies.
Sitting around an hour west of San Antonio, the website boasts of an impressive 1,525 acres of high-fenced property that belongs to white-tailed deer. You see, Biggio purchased deer from various breeders over the years that he slowly released onto the property.
There are also three water wells on the property and three food plots that attract a variety of wildlife like dove, quail, and deer.
Who is Craig Biggio?
Craig Alan Biggio played for the Houston Astros for 20 seasons between 1988 and 2007. During the two decades of service, he played second baseman, outfielder and catcher.
Biggio helped lead the team to their first World Series performance in '05. He is also a seven-time All Star and is the recipient of four Gold Glove Awards and five Silver Slugger Awards.
Biggio's last season was in 2007 after his 3,000th hit milestone. His jersey number, 7, was retired the following year.
Craig Biggio was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in July of 2015.
