Council Candidate Latrelle Joy Says There Is a Lack of Trust in City Hall

Latrelle Joy is running for District 6 on the city council.  Jim Gilbreath is not running for re-election.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Joy said she would like to see trust rebuilt in the council.

“What I’m finding as I talk to people as I walk, they don’t trust city government,” Joy said.  “They don’t think they’re getting the full story.  They feel like there’s a lot of deals going on behind closed doors.”

Joy said there needs to be more respect for people who appear before the council, and there needs to be more respect among the council members themselves.
