Big Cold Front Is Heading For Lubbock and West Texas This Weekend
A major cold front is on its way to Lubbock and West Texas, but don't worry, it should be nice in the Hub City for the game on Saturday.
Major Cold Front In Store for Lubbock
Temperatures on Friday are expected to be nice in and around Lubbock with highs in the mid 70's and breezy conditions. On Saturday, low temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30's to low 40's. It could be breezy during the day with the possibility of patchy blowing dust. Let's hope that happens after the Texas Tech-BYU matchup. The high on Saturday in and around Lubbock will be in the low 70's.
On Sunday, things change. A major cold front will swing through our region according to KAMC. High's will be in the low 50's while low temperatures heading into Monday will be in the upper 20's. That means some folks will be running their fireplaces Sunday night.
Temperatures Will Rebound Next Week
Monday's high in Lubbock and the surrounding areas will be in the lower to mid 60's. On Tuesday, we could see high's in the upper 70's.
So while the cold front will be a big one, it won't last very long. But as November continues the temperatures will continue to fall.
