Current FOX News contributor, Col. Oliver North, will be in Lubbock and Abilene this weekend promoting his new book, American Heroes: On the Homefront.

In speaking about his new book, Col. North said, "...you will meet the dedicated and selfless men and women I served with in Vietnam, and those I have accompanied in the shadows of the Hindu Kush, the deserts of Iraq, on the waters of the Persian Gulf and in the jungles of the Philippines. This book will show you brave young Americans as they really are: all volunteers; part of the brightest, best educated, trained, led and equipped military any nation has even had."

Friday afternoon, Col. North will be in Lubbock. His appearance will be at 3:30p at the Barnes & Noble at the South Plains Mall (6002 Slide Road Lubbock, TX 79424).

Then, on Saturday morning, Col. North's book tour will take him to Abilene.  His appearance gets underway at 9:00a at Lifeway, located at 3533 Catclaw Drive.

All proceeds of Col. North's new book will go to the Freedom Alliance.

Also, on November 14th, Col. North will make an appearance on Pratt on Texas to discuss the new book.  North's interview with Robert Pratt is scheduled for 5:35p.
