The City of Lubbock is continuing to vaccinate citizens. This week alone, 5,000 people were expected to be vaccinated in large part thanks to the clinics being held at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

There will be three more clinics next week at the Civic Center according to the City of Lubbock. These clinics will be open for those who fall under 1A and 1B categories. Those include front-line workers, those 65 and older, and those over 18 with health problems.

The vaccine clinic will be at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Exhibit Hall on the following dates and times:

  •  Tuesday, January 19        10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  •  Wednesday, January 20   10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  •  Thursday, January 21        2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Registration for all three clinics opened at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 15. All individuals in Phases 1A and 1B seeking a vaccination must make an appointment. Appointments can be made online or by phone.

  • Those wishing to make an appointment online can do so at mylubbock.info/covid19vaccine

  • Those wishing to make an appointment by phone can do so by calling the City of Lubbock Health Department at 806.775.2933

Once you are registered, the City of Lubbock has asked that you show up no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled time. This keeps the lines short and makes the process move quickly. Some citizens have reported that the process only takes about thirty minutes to complete. You will be asked to sit for 15 minutes after you get the vaccine so health experts can monitor any reactions.
