As of late Saturday night, the City of Lubbock's Boil Water Notice continues. The notice also extends to neighboring communities that use Lubbock's water supply, including New Deal and Ransom Canyon.

Early Saturday morning, during KFYO News' live coverage of the Lubbock Blackout, KFYO was given a timeline concerning the possible end of the Boil Water Notice.  Councilman Victor Hernandez stated that the notice could be lifted Sunday or Monday.

Working towards that goal, the City of Lubbock Health Department collected 75 different water samples on Saturday for testing.  According to the health department's, Bridget Faulkenberry, the results of the tests could be known before Noon on Sunday.

If all of the samples come back negative for contaminants, the Boil Water Notice could then be lifted.
