City of Lubbock Asking for Feedback Regarding Downtown Parking
The City of Lubbock is asking for public feedback regarding downtown parking.
The city released an online survey on Wednesday, August 26, to get community input. Responses to this survey will be used to sway the city on their master parking plan.
This is part of the Downtown Lubbock plan for the city to revitalize downtown Lubbock’s Central Business District. It's a collaboration between the City of Lubbock, the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, and the Central Business District Tax Increment Financing board.
One of the recommendations was to take all one-way streets and convert them back to two-ways. Work on this project began earlier this year on Avenue's K, L, and M. Another includes building a parking garage next to Citizen’s Tower.
The city says these changes will help with congestion and visibility in the downtown area.
