Clinton Laughs

Republicans are always accused of waging this phony "war on women". The media and Democrats pile on and make things up. According to The Hill, Hillary Clinton laughed at a man who said he wanted to strangle Republican candidate Carly Fiorina.

Hillary Clinton failed to admonish an audience member on Tuesday who said he wanted to “strangle” Republican primary candidate Carly Fiorina.

The audience member said he was a systems engineer who was laid off from Hewlett-Packard while Fiorina was CEO of the company.

He critiqued decisions made by Fiorina to fire workers and said he becomes infuriated whenever he sees her trumpeting her business record on television.

"And to see this woman say she grew the company three times — she merged the company with Digital Equipment and Compaq Computing. That's not growing a company when you absorb two other companies," he said.

“And then she laid off over 40,000 people, and she says she’s a great CEO. Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her,” he said, drawing laughs from the audience. “I know that doesn’t sound very nice.”

“I wouldn’t mess with you,” Clinton responded, laughing.

Republicans accused Clinton of hypocrisy on women's issues and demanded she apologize.

"By laughing off a male questioner’s desire to strangle Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats have lost all credibility claiming to be a party that stands up for women," Republican National Committee Press Secretary Allison Moore said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Hillary Clinton routinely exhibits the worst kind of hypocrisy on women’s issues, whether it’s launching attacks on equal pay despite paying women less than men in her Senate office or her foundation’s acceptance of millions of dollars from foreign governments that oppress women’s rights," the statement continued.

"It’s clear women just can’t count on Hillary Clinton to stand up for them.  She should apologize immediately.”

Can you imagine the reaction if a man at a Ted Cruz event joked about strangling Hillary and Cruz laughed? The media would go nuts. Watch as they ignore this completely.

Dallas Bathroom Ordinance?

The Dallas City Council passed an ordinance yesterday that would allow men to use the women's bathroom according to the website txvaluesaction.

Today, the Dallas City Council fast tracked and approved an aggressive and dangerous bathroom ordinance that allows men into women’s bathroom. In a surprise move that involved the Council approving controversial language in a closed door meeting late last night,  without public input, the Council approved the new and sweeping language today that is over 10 pages long, according to reports and is strikingly similar to the same “gender identity” and “public accommodations” language contained the defeated Houston law that relates to bathroom, locker rooms and shower rooms. The new Dallas ordinance is a threat to safety and freedom and allows the government to fine private small business owners $500.

This swift government move comes just one week after Houston voters decisively said “no” to a radical, expansive bathroom ordinance and power grab that threatened the safety and liberty of Houston residents. In an historic vote,  61 – 39%. The Houston bathroom ordinance that would have allowed men to use women’s bathroom and locker rooms also called “HERO” was voted by down. Texas Values Action was on the ground for the historic vote in Houston.

Jonathan Saenz, president of Texas Values Action released the following statement:

“This Dallas bathroom ordinance will allow men into women’s bathrooms and that’s why the Dallas City Council is deliberately trying to avoid the people. Their fast track method of passing this dangerous bill that threatens the safety of women and children is the same strategy used in Houston to disenfranchise voters with their failed bathroom bill. Creating law behind closed doors and forcing it onto the people the next morning  is a recipe for disaster. These Obama and D. C. style tactics will not work in Texas. Get ready for a Texas-sized response.”

This will be interesting to see how people in Dallas react. Another example of why it is important to pay attention to local politics.
