Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Casey Anthony found not guilty of murder (link)

Casey Anthony was found not guilty in Florida yesterday of killing her daughter. The only charge that the jury found her guilty of was lying to police. Immediately, people went onto Facebook and Twitter to sound off on the issue. I flipped between FOX and CNN to catch coverage and the feeling on both news stations was that of shock. People are wanting to blame the jury, but should they instead the blaming the prosecutors?

What do you think?

2. Lt. Col. Oliver North on LFN (link)

Lt. Col. Oliver North will be giving a speech in Lubbock coming up this Saturday for Operation Hope and their F.A.M.I.N.E. banquet. We will be speaking with Oliver North on today's show about Operation Hope, and current events going on around the world. Be sure to tune in.

3. Frugal Dad stories (link)

Here is kind of a fun story. It's about frugal (or cheap) dads. Here are some examples:

"I asked my father what to do when my car's check engine light came on. His advice was, "Alright. Go down to the hardware store, and buy yourself a roll of black electrical tape. Now, tear off a piece about about the half the length of your thumb. Get inside your car and turn the engine on. Now, where you see the "check engine" light, you're going to place that electrical tape right over the light. That'll stop it from bothering you"

and

"My Dad's favorite saying is "builds character." He once made my little brother hang out of the truck's passenger window and use a squeegee to wipe off the windshield in the rain because the wipers were broken and he didn't want to spend money on Rain-X."
