Is Bolton Oil Change making a comeback in Lubbock?

The Bolton name never left Lubbock, even 5 years after selling the oil change business to Take 5, Bolton remained in Lubbock with storage units and gas stations. And now after... taking 5 years off from the oil changing business, they are ready jump back in.

According to a report out of LubbockLights.com, Bolton Oil Change will open two new locations in Lubbock. At least, those are the plans for now according to construction permits. Will the new oil change business be called Bolton Oil Change? It seems as though that's the case as both LubbockLights.com and LubbockInTheLoop both report Bolton Oil Change is in the process of building.

The first location will be located just south of 19th and Milwaukee Avenue while the second location will be located in the 6600 block of Indiana Avenue according to LubbockLights.com.

Bolton is expected to compete directly with Take 5 which owns numerous former Bolton Oil Change locations and new locations they have built. Take 5 now also operates numerous car wash locations in Lubbock.

While there are currently plans for two Bolton Oil Change locations in Lubbock, it wouldn't surprise me at all if those plans grow and we hear about future locations in other parts of Lubbock including the fast growing southwest portion of Lubbock.
