A Boil Water Notice has been issued for residents in Garza County. The Garza County Sheriff’s Office explained the notice Thursday morning, that the water main from White River had suffered a major break. Despite repairs having been made, the tap water in Garza County must now be tested for pathogens to prove it's safe. In the meantime, an indefinite boil water notice has been put into effect for residents of Garza County, which means that tap water is safe for shower use or for brushing teeth, but it is not safe to drink until it’s been boiled.
