The Better Business Bureau of Lubbock is partnering with the Small Business Administration to host an event on Tuesday, March 23 to educate local business owners on how to apply for financial relief during the pandemic.

SBA District Director for West Texas, Calvin Davis, will be the primary speaker for the event. Mallory Maxwell, VP of Development for the BBB, told KAMC News in an interview that Davis will be giving information on how qualify and apply for financial aide through a variety of programs, and also the deadlines for filing.

Maxwell says that Davis will speak for the 1st half of the event and the 2nd half will be a full Q&A session for those in attendance. The small business seminar will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at the BBB building in Lubbock, located at 3333 66th Street.

The event is free and open to the public, but you are asked to RSVP by visiting Facebook.com/bbblubbock. The SBA also has a website with all the information on loans they offer.
