
Texas Man Attacked and Killed by Swarm of Bees While Mowing Yard
A Texas man is dead after a bee attack in Eastland, Texas.
Police were called to the scene in the 700 block of North Lamar Street in Eastland, Texas which is located roughly an hour east of Abilene.
Texas Man Dead After Bee Attack
According to a report from KTXS, the man was mowing and nearby was an abandoned structure. Inside the structure was a large hive of honey bees. The man who was attacked must have ran to a vehicle because police found him after they were called to a report of a crash.
According to KTXS, officers found the driver of the vehicle being swarmed by bees.
Once officers located the man, they pulled him from the area and put him inside a police vehicle to escape more bee stings. The man became unresponsive as he was rushed to Eastland Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

KTXS reports a local beekeeper was called in to safely locate and remove the hive.
Honey bees are generally considered non-aggressive and don't actively seek out humans to sting. They will however, attack if they feel threatened
