Authorities Investigate Infant Death at University of Texas Permian Basin Housing Facility

The body of a baby taken from a University of Texas Permian Basin student housing facility has been identified as that of 19-month-old Anthony Rodriguez. The Odessa American reports that police received a call reporting an unresponsive child at around 10 am this morning in a mobile home in Falcon’s Nest Circle. The mother reportedly called university police, who upon arrival administered CPR until emergency services arrived. Authorities are looking into the cause of the child’s death.
