Original Story:
Lubbock Power & Light reported at a little before 1 p.m. on Wednesday (March 13th), around 2,800 customers were without power due to damage to two substations.
LP&L's power outage map showed multiple outages in the area between Avenue Q and I-27 and some in South Lubbock near Slide Road.
The damage comes from the increasing winds across the entire KFYO listening area.
LP&L said that crews were on scene to restore power as quickly as possible.
Customers who wish to report an outage can do so by sending an email or text to lightsout@lpandl.com, or by calling 775-2509.
