DALLAS (AP) — A storm packing winds upward of 80 mph has left thousands of people without power in North Texas.

The Dallas Morning News reports that no injuries were reported in the wake of Friday night's storm that produced golf-ball size in Waxahachie, and included tornado and thunderstorm warnings.

Damaging winds up to 80 mph were reported in Stephenville in Erath County. In Tarrant County, isolated reports of 65- to 70-mph winds were registered.

Dallas-based utility Oncor says more than 60,000 customers were left without electricity in Dallas-Fort Worth as power lines were damaged and trees were uprooted. Johnson County authorities say several houses were left without roofs near Godly and Joshua.

Flights at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field were halted until the storms passed.
