Apparently, Lubbock Is Not Considered A Glamorous City

Lubbock is know as many things. "The Hub City", "The Giant Side of Texas", the "Friendliest City in America", a great local music city, and of course the home of Buddy Holly.

One thing apparently Lubbock is not known for or considered? Glamorous.

Ouch.

According to KXAN, a report on 2023's Most Glamorous Cities in America has been released that has two Texas cities in the top-10. Houston and Dallas. Houston ranked #7 and Dallas ranked #9 out of the top 10.

What makes a city glamorous? According to KXAN, the report compiled data from the following:

The report compiled data from 200 of the biggest U.S. cities, and the cities were then grouped into six categories—status and wealth, clubs, fine dining, beauty, fashion and entertainment.

While Lubbock may not have been considered even in the top 50 of glamorous cities, the city did not make the least glamorous list which had Waco at 192, Brownsville at 196, and Laredo at 197.

Then again, this is West Texas. Dirt, wind, hard work, tumbleweeds. Lubbock has grit with a side of glamour from time to time, and it beats living in most, if not all, the top ten glamorous cities.
