Another Lubbock-Area Business Closes Its Doors
It's been a rough year for small business owners. Actually, it's been a rough few years for small business owners in Lubbock and throughout the United States. Rising inflation, wages, lack of employees, and shopping online have all contributed to an atmosphere that isn't always positive for small businesses.
The latest Lubbock-area business to announce they are closing their doors is Mukewater Outfitters, a men's clothing store just outside of Lubbock in Wolfforth.
The clothing store took to Facebook on Tuesday to announce they would be closing in Wolfforth due to a "drastic drop in sales".
While we have seen many small businesses close their doors in recent years, we have also seen some big, national chains close as well. Again, due to rising inflation, consumers saving money, and the increase of shopping online.
The good news for fans of Mukewater Outfitter is that they will be keeping their online store open and they will operate in Brownwood as well. Best of luck to Muckwater as they make this change in their business plan.
