
Lubbock Man Charged After Violent Wrench Attack
An arrest was made in a case that dates back to January 2026. Xavier Soria, 31-years-old was charged over the weekend with aggravated assault. The charge comes from a January incident according to KAMC that started as a verbal altercation that turned into a physical altercation.

According to KAMC, the victim told Lubbock Police that he and man with the nickname "Dodo" got into an argument that eventually got physical and the he was hit with a wrench.
The victim advised officers that a Hispanic male, known by the victim by the nickname “Dodo”, got into an altercation with the victim, during which the argument became physical, according to court documents. The suspect then picked up a wrench located close by and struck the victim in the face with it multiple times, according to documents.
The victim then wrestled with the suspect before pulling away and making his way home. The victim suffered multiple injuries, including permanent vision loss in his left eye and had to be transported to University Medical Center for further treatment.
Soria was later identified through social media and was taken into custody on Sunday.
