The Lubbock ISD graduating class of 2011 has been offered millions of dollars in scholarships.

The combined total of scholarships offered to graduates of all four high schools has topped $22.7 million dollars this year. These funds come from colleges and universities, corporate sponsors, non-profit foundations, as well as state and federal agencies.

Graduates from Estacado High School received over $536,000, Coronado High graduates received over $3.1 million, Monterey High graduates were awarded over $6.5 million, and this year’s graduating class from Lubbock High School received nearly $12.5 million total in scholarship funds.

Lubbock ISD also wants to recognize the high school counselors who, in many cases, facilitated access to the scholarship providers and assisted in the application process.
