2 Arrested in Lubbock Shooting Incident
Lubbock Police arrested 2 people Thursday evening for aggravated assault.
50-year-old Stephanie Annette Thomas and 26-year-old Justin Lamar Thomas were accused of shooting at Jashaun Antwain Thomas in the 2400 block of East 6th Street. Jashaun drove away from the original scene of the shooting to a nearby grocery store to call for help.
Jashaun was in an argument with Stephanie when she hit him in the face, and then Justin shot at him with a handgun. Stephanie then took the gun and fired at him.
Stephanie told police that she fired in the air to scare Jashaun away. She also claimed he hit her in the face.
A witness confirmed that both Stephanie and Justin both fired the gun at Jashaun. Police also found 2 grazing bullet wounds on Jashaun's left side and lower back.
Stephanie and Justin Thomas are being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds of $20,000 each.
