If you missed the 34th Street hole in the wall article, let me reintroduce my opinions.

I've never been one to chase the newest and latest restaurants that come to Lubbock. It's frankly ridiculous when traffic enforcement is needed for the latest national chain coming into Lubbock because people are lined up down the block to get in line.

I don't lay awake at night dreaming of the next shiny In-N-Out Burger equivalent to grace our beautifully dusty city. No, what really whets my appetite is the building with the sign falling off whose owners are putting their life into serving incredible food to the community.

Full disclosure: this list was way harder than the 34th Street one. I love places like Saigon, George's Diner and Beijing House, but I picked a number before I started and stuck with it. I'm sure you'll let me know what other gems of Lubbock I missed.

The 13 Best Hole in the Wall Restaurants on 50th Street in Lubbock

These buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on. I wasn't as strict on this one as I was on my 34th Street version which you can read if you keep scrolling, but I defend my choices below. If you can get a cash loan in the same strip mall as your pizza, it might be a Hole in the Wall.

The 10 Best 'Hole in the Wall' Restaurants on 34th Street in Lubbock

34th Street is known locally as "where the work gets done," but it's also where the eats go down. (Side note: I also might be the only one that says that because nobody else I know remembers that.) Back to the point, these buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on.
