CNN reports that Laurer was found unresponsive by police in her Redondo Beach, California apartment. They are investigating her death, but don't believe there was foul play.

According to WWE, Laurer set two major records in the world of professional wrestling: the first female Royal Rumble competitor and the first and only woman to win the organization's Intercontinental Championship.

The WWE extended its condolences to Laurer's family, and Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon tweeted about Chyna's death Thursday morning.

Several other WWE wrestlers also tweeted their thoughts and condolences about Chyna's death, including Triple H and The Miz.
