Have you noticed your gas bill skyrocket in the last couple of months? If you're living in Lubbock, you aren't alone.

The extremely cold wind chills will be present in Lubbock, the South Plains, Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.

With the South Plains and a good portion of Texas having already experienced a day of snow and freezing temperatures, even more cancellations and delays are on the horizon.

If you do need to drive around Wednesday night or Thursday morning, just remember that some roads in Lubbock are more dangerous than others.

Snowfall totals are forecast between 1 to 3 inches for Lubbock and Amarillo. Some areas of the Permian Basin may receive up to 4 inches of snow.

Most of this week's snowfall will happen Wednesday afternoon & evening, and all-day Thursday. Wind chill values on Wednesday night are slated to be below zero.
