The bronze statues of former President of the United States Woodrow Wilson and former President of the Confederate States of America Jefferson Davis were removed Sunday morning in Austin.
"It's silliness, at the end of the day. You may not like Jefferson Davis, not saying you have to. You may not like the idea of the Confederacy, no one's saying you have to, but it is part of history, and it is part of our history."
