A Mexican drug-trafficking network used accounts at Bank of America to hide money and invest proceeds into U.S. quarter horses that have raced at Ruidoso Downs.

Martin’s horse, Phire Power, broke down following the finish of the 300-yard sixth race, throwing him to the ground. He was scheduled to ride fastest qualifier Ochoa on Monday’s Grade 1, $2.4 million All American Futurity.
The Grade 1, $2.4 million All American Futurity will be run on Monday at Ruidoso Downs. A sizable sum is also being presented at Sunday’s Grade 1 $1.3 million All American Derby.
