A bankruptcy judge has granted a motion put forth by Reagor-Dykes, that gives retail lenders the ability to pay off taxes, title and license fees of affected customers.
"I think when it's all said and done, the citizens tower project will be something that we'll look back and say it was a good investment. My job is the execute on that. I wasn't there when that decision was made. Our job is to bring it in on time and on budget and that's what we're going to do," Pope said.
The Reagor-Dykes Auto Group is due back in court for their second bankruptcy hearing. Ford Motor Credit is suing Reagor-Dykes for over $41 million dollars.
The objection alleges that Reagor Dykes misused financing money provided by Liberty Capital Bank for a floor-plan at the Reagor-Dykes Auto-mall in Addison, Texas.
A real estate company filed a motion Thursday (Aug. 23) in bankruptcy court to compel Reagor-Dykes to pay rent, or leave, two properties in Southwest Lubbock.
