Friday morning, dozens of students at Lubbock High School left their classrooms to protest gun violence, remember victims and push for common sense gun laws.
District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington on The Chad Hasty Show discussing infrastructure improvements proposals, broadband internet access in rural areas, food stamp changes and how the farm bill may be affected, as well as the recent school walk-outs by children with the pretense of protesting firearms and lack of security in schools.
Arrington supports Trump but disagrees with his remarks to raise the age to own a firearm, as well as taking away people's guns without due process, saying, "I don't think raising the age limit is, number one, addressing the problem and the breakdown that we've seen. Number two, if you can take arms in defense against this country and vote then you ought to be able to exercise your 2nd amendment rights."
